Building Emotional Fitness for Adolescents
There is no question that the world is tough to navigate as a teenager. And all research points to the importance of skills, education, mentors, tools, exposure, and guidance.
Ven Z attempts to provide the highest quality content, curriculum, and resources for 14-18 year olds. First step will be creating content, focused on topics most applicable to high schoolers. Info, material, and lessons will be delivered with talks from experts and known entities (celebrities, musicians, etc.), videos, and guided conversation and testimonials with other teens.
Our desire is to offer a variety of online education courses, and have it appealing and engaging enough where young women and men will actually want to continue with other topics.
What does Ven Z do?
This program goes beyond a basic curriculum. It is a virtual platform that incorporates many forms of content delivery to empower teenagers as they move toward adulthood. Accommodating various learning styles and interests seeks to keep students engaged as they work toward mastery of skills and material.
We will also be awarding movement through - and completion of - the curriculum. This will include special access to events (a guitar lesson with a known musician, a conversation with an actor or athlete, etc.), the ability to earn various prizes from sponsors, and incentives for tackling more and future topics.
There will also be various online programs, which will be recorded for future watching: i.e. a conversation with someone talking about what they’ve learned about self-care (or racism, or service, or compassion, or dating, etc.)
By summer of 2022 or 2023, we will offer a week-long camp, with various topics and speakers as the focus of morning and evening gatherings, and different tracks of activities during the day (i.e. surfing, art, golf, videography, track and field, writing, soccer, computer coding, basketball, music, cycling, etc.). One day will be designated to seminars on self-awareness, gifts inventory, and working with college and career experts on narrowing down future opportunities and best fit for college/career.
Week-long service and immersion trips will also be introduced in the next phase, offering journeys to different regions and countries for exposure, empowerment, and learning.
